The Assoulin family opened Maurice Fine Jewelry inside The Plaza in 1991. The boutique has remained in the same lobby — and in the same hands — ever since.

Generations of the family have spent their careers in the jewelry trade. That long apprenticeship — in stones, in setting, in restraint — is the foundation of the work we do.

The Plaza Hotel opens at Fifth Avenue and Central Park South, called on its opening morning the greatest hotel in the world.
1969
The Plaza is designated a New York City Landmark, and later a National Historic Landmark — the only New York City hotel to hold both.
